Hi Sami! Bartender got bought by Applause, and has since added a feature called TopShelf, which gives you several features your one-off apps do. Yet I've been trying to migrate to Raycast, which does a bunch of things, too.
I've heard much about Raycast, and it seems very comprehensive - possibly too comprehensive. Why are you trying to migrate to it?
A part of me also doesn't really like to rely on one app for too many things, esp. ones that come from large companies as I feel they're more susceptible to jumping on the enshittification train.
It's also rare for an app that does as many things as Raycast does to do them well, a problem I think Bartender is bringing on by adding so much functionality.
But I'm also worried about having too many extensions and plugins, between odd interactions and possible security holes :)
That's what Santa and Little Snitch are for. You don't allow anything unauthorized to start and by default don't allow anyone to communicate anywhere outside, and the potential security holes introduced by tiny helper apps are much better contained.
